UP Center Committees

At the foundation of The UP Center are operational and special event committees that help guide us. Click on each Committee name to learn about meeting times and who to contact to join.

Chaired by President & a minimum of two representatives of the general membership, this committee is responsible for reviewing applications for new board members, interviewing applicants, and making recommendations to current board of directors for approval.
Chaired by President, this committee is responsible for building support for The UP Center on a broad scale by influencing individuals, families, and business to get involved in the Center's activities and fundraising efforts.
Chaired by the Secretary, the Development Committee recommends policies, procedures, and strategies for enhancing the membership both numerically and qualitatively. The Committee recommends policies, procedures, and initiatives to assure a growing and vital membership organization.
Chaired by the Treasurer, the Finance Committee is responsible for consulting with the President on the annual budget process, reviewing and making recommendations on the annual budget submitted, and developing and recommending long range financial objectives for the Center.
Chaired by the Vice President, the Programs and Services Committee develops and recommends programs and services aligned with the mission of the Center. The committee also develops policies and procedures surrounding the development, implementation, and evaluation of new programs and services whether initiated by this committee or a member/members of the general membership.
Co-chaired by one board member and the board member fulfilling the youth seat on the board, this committee is responsible for the programming and planning of activities that pertain to GLBTQA youth, their safety, education, and overall well-being. This committee is also responsible for developing policies and procedures that pertain to the creation, implementation, evaluation, and oversight of such programs.
